Technology Development Management

Program

Ecotechnologies, third-level study programme

Goals:

The objective of this subject is to train students to understand the role of an innovative development environment for accelerated development, transfer and application of modern technologies and consequently for the technological and innovative restructuring of an enterprise, the economy and the society. Emphasis will be placed on the development of technological and developmental corporate strategy for technology management and for the achievement of international competitiveness.

Content:

- The increasingly open (deregulated) and competitive global environment, and theoretical bases and processes involved in catching up or lagging behind in the development of countries, regions and enterprises within this environment;
- The strategic management and control of technologies as the environment for successful development of countries, regions and enterprises;
- Business management, corporate development environment, and modern technology transfer;
- Technological level of the basic and applied knowledge and skills as the basis for technological restructuring of enterprises;
- Technology management in the framework of the transfer of “best practices” in industrial and other development clusters;
- The role of product/service and process technologies and the superior training of staff in increasing the competitiveness and added value of enterprises;
- Technological and development potential of an enterprise and sources of new technologies, products and processes;
- Tools for the study and analysis of technology management;
- Technology management as a source of new products and services.
