Procesiranje in nanomagnetizem

Cilji:

Študentje spoznajo kemijske (ELD, EPD) in fizikalne metode (ultra hitro kaljenje litin, visokoenergijsko mletje, pulzna laserska depozicija) procesiranja magnetnih filmov, nanodelcev in nanokristaliničnih prahov s poudarkom na aplikaciji v medicini in v nano-mehanizmih.

Vsebina:

Nanomagnetizem je že zdaj izrednega pomena pri shranjevanju spomina, za senzorsko uporabo in pri izdelavi mehanizmov, strmo pa narašča uporaba v t.i. življenjski znanosti (life-science) in medicini. Izmenjalne interakcije znotraj strukture in interfaznih mej magnetnega multilayer-ja in nanostruktur, izmenjalna anizotropija, gigantska magnetostrikcija (GMR) in tunelska magneto-upornost (TMR), magnetokalorični efekt, so lastnosti izrednega tehnološkega pomena. Študij bo delno usmerjen na izdelavo nano mehanizmov in nanostruktur z lasersko depozicijo pri kontroliranih pogojih. Poudarek bo na študiju vpliva priprave na končne magnetne lastnosti z različnimi visoko ločljivimi analitskimi tehnikami. Poudarek pri kemijskem načinu priprave tankih filmov in nanodelcev s posebnimi magnetnimi lastnostmi pa bo na elektrolitski in elektroforetski metodi.
