Open Applications for the ASEF Research Abroad Programme 2026

We hereby announce that applications are now open for the ASEF Research Abroad programme 2026.
This two-year program is designed for Slovenian fellows who want to strengthen research and academic exchange between Slovenia and the rest of the world.
As part of the programme, selected fellows will have the opportunity to complete a 10-week research visit at one of the world’s top universities or research institutions. They will work under the mentorship of esteemed Slovenian professors in the U.S., Canada, the UK, select European countries, and Australia.
At ASEF, they are committed to developing individuals who are distinguished by their academic excellence, strong character, and a desire to give back to the community. In addition to their research, the chosen ASEF fellows will be integrated into the wider ASEF community. Here, they can collaborate on research projects, participate in workshops, develop their careers with the help of an active community, and attend public lectures and other events. This provides them with an opportunity to fully realize their potential and grow both academically and personally.
The application deadline is November 2, 2025.
