Opening of the 2025/26 Academic Year with a Guided Tour of Ljubljana

This year we marked the beginning of the new academic year at the Jožef Stefan International Postgraduate School with an informal yet very enjoyable event that combined cultural discovery, relaxed socializing, and a warm welcome for our new students.
On Monday, 13 October 2025, we joined a guided tour of Ljubljana’s historic city centre, organised for us by Turizem Ljubljana. Led by experienced guides, we explored the history and hidden gems of the capital, visited some of its most iconic landmarks, and made new connections along the way.
After the tour, we continued our gathering with a traditional lunch at the well-known Gostilna Šestica, where the friendly atmosphere encouraged further conversation and bonding among students.
The event offered an excellent opportunity for new and returning students to get to know each other, exchange thoughts and expectations, and start the academic year on a positive note.
We believe that this kind of an opening helps foster a sense of belonging and community – essential elements for a successful and fulfilling study experience.
