IPS invites you to the Defence of the Doctoral Dissertation by Edoardo Donà titled: Detection of food freshness and pesticides through chemical interaction of liquids or gases with surfaces. The defence will take place on Thursday, 24 July 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the IPS Lecture Room, Jamova 39, 1000 Ljubljana.

Innovative sensors have been developed to detect pesticide residues and food spoilage in real time. Using advanced fluorescent probes and graphene technology, these approaches explore new ways of addressing today’s food safety challenges. Thanks to their sensitivity and reliability, these sensors can be applied to various foods, beverages, and environments, helping to make them safer.
