Short summary:

This thesis investigated new organofluorosilicate and organofluorogermanate compounds that can be used as fluorinating reagents in various industrial and academic fields. The research has shown that it is possible to synthesise new compounds with more electron-donating groups that increase their fluoride-donating potential. New polymeric organofluorosilicate and germanate species have been observed and synthesised using alkali metal fluorides.
