IPS invites you to the Defence of the Doctoral Dissertation by Mark Zver titled: Low-pressure gaseous plasma for inactivation of viruses in water. The defence will take place on Thursday, 15 May 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the IPS Lecture Room, Jamova 39, Ljubljana.

Short summary:

In the study, we developed a first-of-its-kind low-pressure plasma system that effectively destroys viruses in water using vacuum ultraviolet radiation. The system shows great potential for environmentally friendly disinfection of drinking water and the degradation of harmful pollutants.
