IPS invites you to the Defence of the Doctoral Dissertation by Tjaša Žerdoner titled: Source apportionment of Pb in PM10 from the upper Meža Valley by the use of advanced analytical techniques. The defence will take place on Monday, 29 September 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the IPS Lecture Room, Jamova 39, 1000 Ljubljana.

Short summary:

The Upper Meža Valley (Slovenia) is heavily burdened by potentially toxic elements, especially lead (Pb), from centuries of Pb ore mining and smelting. This doctoral dissertation used Pb isotopes to determine whether Pb in PM10 is solely a result of past activities or if current secondary Pb production also has an impact.
