IPS meet & greet

Chestnuts, cider and excellent company, just a few of the wonderful things we experienced last Thursday at our IPS meet & greet, which combined this year’s Dean’s day and IPS picnic. Our afternoon started with a warm welcome from our Dean prof. Milena Horvat and the president of the IPS Student council Rok Novak. Prof. Horvat explained where we could find some mushrooms and chestnuts in the surrounding forest and led the way. Some of us had a nice haul and others just enjoyed a nice walk in the forest, which was draped in vibrant autumn colors. After our walk we were welcomed to Gostilnica Orle with roasted chestnuts and some cider, prepared for us on their front porch. This was a nice chance to talk with our colleagues and enjoy the nice sunny day outside. Later we moved inside the restaurant and enjoyed an excellent meal! We got to know each other, discuss our work, what we do in life and just chat about random things. We all agreed that these kinds of social events should happen even more often!
