Award winners of this year's Student Conference

The motto of this year's Jožef Stefan International Postgraduate School (IPS) Students' Conference together with the Day of Young Researchers in Chemistry, Materials, Biochemistry, and Environment (CMBE) was “Through knowledge towards a green new world”. With more than 100 participants and over 60 submitted contributions, this year’s conference, which took place via the Gather Town online platform, far surpassed the numbers of previous years.
On Day 1, the conference hosted Anthony Agotha, senior diplomatic expert in the team of Frans Timmermans, vice-president of the European Commission, while on Day 2, we listened to the lectures of Dr. Marko Vrabec and Dr. Marjetka Levstek. Several awards were also presented, namely for best abstract, best poster, audience award and for the “greenest” research, which were received by Olivera Maksimović Carvalho Ferreira, Žiga Tkalec, Saša Harkai and Alja Čontala. The event also marked the Day of IPS which celebrated its 17th anniversary on 25 May.
