INVITATION TO THE CROSS-BORDER WORKSHOP CROSSNANO 2023 OF DOCTORAL STUDENTS

INVITATION TO THE CROSS-BORDER WORKSHOP OF DOCTORAL STUDENTS University of Trieste, Jožef Stefan International Postgraduate School and Jožef Stefan Institute in the field of nanosciences and nanotechnologies

We are organizing the third joint workshop for doctoral students in the field of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, CrossNano https://www.mps.si/sl/o-nas/aktualno/crossnano-cezmejna-delavnica-na-podrocju-nanoznanosti-nanotehnologij/ with the University of Trieste, Nanotechnology program. The University of Trieste organizes such a workshop every year. IPS and JSI joined to the workshop few years ago. This year's workshop will take place at University of Trieste from 21st to 23rd February 2023. For this purpose, we would like to invite up to 10 most promising IPS or JSI students to join the workshop.

This workshop is an opportunity for students for several reasons: personal bibliography, preparation for real conferences and expanding their research network (possibility of cooperation and postdoctoral exchanges in our immediate vicinity…). Unlike the IPS conference, students present their results in a 20-minute conference lecture with an emphasis on discussion.

Students are selected based on the topic of their research and after the recommendation of their mentors. We would appreciate the mentors of doctoral students to propose their most promising students in the field of nanosciences and nanotechnologies as representatives of IPS/JSI. Selected students are invited to submit an Abstract of the lecture's topic using the attached template below to darja.lisjak@ijs.si by 10th February 2023. In the case of a larger number of proposals, senior students and the first-time participants will have priority.
