Phase Error Mitigation Techniques in Robust Angle- and Range-Based Localization of Resource-Constrained Devices
IPS invites you to the Defence of the Doctoral Dissertation by Aleš Simončič titled: Phase Error Mitigation Techniques in Robust Angle- and Range-Based Localization of Resource-Constrained Devices. The defence will take place on Monday, 13 July 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at the IPS Lecture Room (N205-N206, Jamova c. 39, 1000 Ljubljana).
Supervisor: Assoc. Prof. Tomaž Javornik.
Co-Supervisor: Assoc. Prof. Andrej Hrovat.
Short summary:
The dissertation studies phase-based direction and distance estimation with resource-constrained devices. It identifies hardware and crystal-oscillator-related phase errors and proposes bias mitigation approaches through antenna and frequency switching patterns and timing diagram design.
