Short summary:

This doctoral thesis shows how HILIC, a chromatographic technique for detecting more polar molecules, can broaden the range of detectable compounds available with only reversed-phase chromatography. Its usefulness was demonstrated in studies of environmental exposure, metabolism, and drug therapy.
