IPS invites you to the Defence of the Doctoral Dissertation by Maja Mujdrica Kim titled: Conversion coatings based on zirconium, chromium and titanium on aluminium-manganese alloy. The defence will take place on Wednesday, 19 August 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the IPS Lecture Room (N205-N206, Jamova c. 39, 1000 Ljubljana).

Short summary:

The doctoral dissertation investigates the corrosion resistance of AA3003 aluminium alloy to improve it through the use of more environmentally friendly chromate-free conversion coatings. The results demonstrate that these modern coatings can effectively extend the service life of aluminium alloy products and contribute to a more sustainable use of materials.
