Short summary:
Stefin B and cystatin C are inhibitors of cysteine cathepsins that influence breast cancer progression. In our study, using a double-knockout mouse model, we showed that loss of both inhibitors slows tumor growth, reduces lung metastases, and reprograms immune cells toward an anti-tumor state, revealing their critical combined role in regulating disease.
