This doctoral thesis investigates the quality of farmed insects and tomatoes irrigated with treated wastewater. It explores the nutritional value of insects and the impact of fermentation. It analyses the effects of wastewater contaminants on tomatoes grown in hydroponic and soil systems and also utilises explainable machine learning.
