My PhD research focused on the use of ICTs to increase the impact of digital environments on food choices. After graduation, I did an Erasmus+ traineeship at Wageningen University and Research. My work there has been focused on working on the development of the COMFOCUS ontology, where one of the goals is to formalise and harmonize data and knowledge of food consumer science.
During my stay, I had the chance to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers from different research areas which allowed me to broaden my knowledge. The competences acquired will surely help me in my career trajectory, including being competitive for further funding and a chance to secure a post-doc position. Erasmus+ financial support contributed significantly to this experience, as it partially covered my living expenses.
